BP Rapidmart comes up big

Special thanks to Larry Goeman, who has become the first patron-level sponsor of
the Pewaukee Chapter of WFT. His $1,000 contribution puts us near our fundraising
goal of $6,000 before we’ve even held our first event. Larry has also promised
his support as a major sponsor of the Pewaukee Chapter Fisheree, scheduled for
February 22, 2014, at Curly’s Waterfront.

Goeman’s BP Rapidmart and Uncle Larry’s Kitchen (and bait shop!) is on the corner
of Hwys SS and G. Be sure to thank Larry for his generous support of our chapter
next time you stop by and fuel up.

In other recent news, plans are continuing to develop for our other upcoming
events, particularly our fall raffle, now only a few weeks away (see sidebar for
details).

Additionally, the Walleye Wagon is looking more and more like it will soon be
rearing thousands of young Pewaukee walleyes.

CLEAN WATER FESTIVAL

WFT-at-Clean-water-festival-educational-tent

Saturday June 22nd several people donated their time to educate potential future members and the general public about the walleyes for tomorrow program. The Clean Water Festival brought a huge crowd to the beaches educational tent. The festival was provided by the Kiwanis and the Pewaukee Lake Waterski Club. The organization donated $7,000 to the Water resource fund, the wetland fund and for testing the quality of Pewaukee Lake. A perfect example of groups working together to protect and improve the quality of our lake and watershed.
